Welcome to the About me page - this is always the hardest one to write :-)
I am a mum to 2 wonderful daughters, wife to my best friend, and crafting tragic. I sew, knit, crochet, but most of all, I stamp and scrapbook.
I started paper crafting in 2001, to make my own wedding invitations. Somebody once told me, buying rubber stamps to save money on cards is like buying a boat to save money on fish.
I was introduced to patchwork and quilting while still pregnant with number 2, and got immediately hooked (thanks AnnetteF). Everyone in the family now has their own quilt, and I am finally working on mine. Sewing remains a big part of my life, and shares space in my studio with my paper crafting tools and materials.
in June 2011 I came across Close to My Heart at the Brisbane Craft Show, and signed up as a VIP customer. I loved the look of the products and the range they had. I knew that if they did open in Australia I would look at becoming a consultant.
In early 2013 my two loves came together in the form of a Tim Holtz fabric collection, called Eclectic Elements. More textures and more ways to display the gorgeousness!
Close to My Heart (CTMH) opened to Australian consultants as of 1 July 2013, and here I am! I will be posting cards, scrapbook pages and beyond the page projects here, as well as new products and ideas for paper crafting. I have also explored the option of posting some video tutorials on YouTube, so stay tuned :-)
